cravings

one of the worst things about dieting is craving the foods that are forbidden. I'm 1.5 weeks into my 6 week diet, things are going well,  just over 9 pounds down so far, my size 12's are getting a bit big around the waist and legs :)

I've never realized how delicious food looks on commercials. While glued to the TV watching Blue Collar Comedy Tour in a post-work coma yesterday,  I literally started salivating when the Red Robin commercial came on! Yum.. delicious guacamole burger.... (insert homer simpson drooling noise here)
alas... I did not immediately go to Red Robin.  Lucky for me, the nearest Red Robin is about 100 miles away!

I'm hoping some additional items will be added to the anthro sale section, hopefully the Marston Sweater Skirt and the Finishing School Skirt!!!

I was totally disappointed when the Let's Take a Ride Knee High Boots from Ruche were sold out in my size....until....I found them on another website, for....get this, less than HALF the price Ruche is charging! Get them here on Urban Original, which also, by the way, has some totally cute vegan inexpensive boots! for these prices you can get them in every color! Also, discount code OCTISS will save you 25%!!!! Not saying I don't love my black Frye riding boots, but I can't afford those in every color :)

what are you lusting over?

I haven't yet decided exactly what this blog will be about, but since I love Anthropologie and there are many blogs out there that share my love, I've decided my first post will contain the things I am lusting over at Anthro, I'm just waiting for my once monthly end-of-the-month paycheck(ugh, I'm terrible at budgeting!) to make my purchases :)

I love the Craft and Creation Top, it's adorably casual but could be dressed up nicely and is appropriately modest for work, and now it's on sale for $29.95!

The Marston Sweater Skirt has been on my wishlist for months! I just can't bring myself to pay full price for this little baby, $98 is too much, but $49.95? I'd pay that :) The skirt is unique, soft and a pretty fall mustard yellow color, also it's knee length and warm!

I've been in love with the Doubly Adorned Dress since spotting it in the St Louis Anthro store. Because I live in a town without an Anthro <SO sad :( > I'm sure my temptations are minimized, however this little number is now on sale and I'm praying that my size will still be in stock next week when I get paid for the sale price of $69.95!!!

The Bon Soir Blouse ($98) is floaty and dreamy in delicious fall colors, haven't tried it on yet, and I haven't decided whether or not I'll be paying full price, but it's right up my alley with jeans or tailored work pants or a skirt with a black cami underneath.

These Chimney Sweep Trousers are darling! I love the charcoal grey color and the cropped length with the belt and wide-leg silhouette and bottom cuff, at $118 I might pay full price because good dress pants are a tough find, and I wear pants almost every day to work! Seeing as they're polyester and not wool, they could easily transition for any season with booties in the fall or sandals in the spring.

The Cym and Ripple Coat is gorgeous! The price ($188) I think is quite reasonable for a wool winter coat, especially one that is so darn girly and terrifically stylish! I've always wanted a red coat for the winter, and I think this little number is the winner! Some may worry that the ruffles will make one look top heavy, but I've got enough on top to balance things out I'm sure :) I'm just waiting on some online reviews to comment on sizing, I'm unsure as the sizing is S-XL, not the typical XS-L.

What are your favorite stores or websites other than Anthro? I love LOFT, Ruche and Francesca's along with Buckle for denim, Victoria's Secret for undergarments and of course it's great to go to eBay and Etsy to find some great original, vintage or sold-out items.

I'm trying to hold off on buying a lot of things because I am in the middle of a diet and don't want to buy clothes that will be too big in a few weeks, I did this diet earlier this year and lost 32 pounds in 6 weeks, I was able to keep it off since then. I'm hoping to lose about 25-30 pounds this time around in an additional 6 weeks, that will put me in my ideal weight range and also put me in a size 8-10 (I'm a 12 now, was a 14 or 16 before) I'm totally thrilled that I can fit into almost anything at anthro now, as I can size up where I used to not be able to. On that note, I'll probably be cleaning out my closet of some fabulous anthro items that will be too big for me and must go to new loving homes!!! I'll keep you posted :)
